I only did a short detachment to Cosford in 1959 before returning to my home station of Weeton in Lancashire prior to my posting to Gan in November that year. I enjoyed 12 months on Gan much more than six weeks at Cosford.

I was at Cosford 1959-61 as 38th Entrant Boy Entrant u/t Tel II. No real tales to tell, sheer drudgery of bull nights, parades etc. Light relief in painting numbers on Hinaidi East and West. Horror stories from senior entry (34th) of boys pushed into lockers then dropped out of Fulton Block top floor; not a grain of truth in 'em!
